The Ferndale wrestling team sent four wrestlers to the semifinals of the Class 3A Northwest District Tournament on Friday, Feb. 3, at Oak Harbor High School, as the Golden Eagles prepared for the final day of the tournament.

Ferndale's Isaac Robison moved on in the 120-pound class, Kam Williams at 220, and Sam Alexander and Klinton Maassen at 182. All won by pin in their final match of the day to advance to the semifinals.

The Golden Eagles have three wrestlers that are out of contention, but 18 are still in the hunt for a spot in the Class 3A State Tournament, Ferndale coach Caleb Schlack said in a phone interview.

The district tournament continues on Saturday, Feb. 4, in Oak Harbor.
