The Lynden Christian boys' basketball team gained a 19-point first quarter advantage and never looked back as the Lyncs earned a dominating 72-50 win over Bellingham in a Northwest Conference matchup Tuesday, Jan. 31, at Lynden Christian High School.

The win over Bellingham gave Lynden Christian (15-2, 8-2 NWC) its 11th win in its last 12 games.

In 20 minutes of court time, LC's Isaac Reimer scored a game-high 20 points, hauled in a game-high 12 rebounds and recorded four blocks.

"I was really impressed with how our kids shared the ball tonight," Lynden Christian coach Roger DeBoer said in a phone interview. "To have seven different kids hit 3s, that's a fun stat."

Despite trailing 41-15 at halftime, DeBoer said Bellingham fought hard until the end of the game as Bellingham outscored the Lyncs 35-31 in the second half.

"I was really impressed with the fight Bellingham had," DeBoer said. "They battled back and showed a lot of resiliency. I was impressed with that."

Bellingham (3-15, 2-9 NWC) was led by Derek Guy who scored a team-high 17 points and grabbed a team-best seven rebounds. Lynden Christian's Nolan Wolffis scored 13 points and recorded five boards for the Lyncs.

Lynden Christian next hosts Ferndale at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, while Bellingham waits to travel to Nooksack Valley at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3.
