BELLINGHAM - Emergency management officials are gathering reports of property damage in Whatcom County in the aftermath of this week's winter storm.

To report any property damage caused by the storm, excluding vehicle collisions, contact Whatcom Unified Emergency Management at 360-676-6681. An emergency management official will return the call and take a report.

It does not appear that reimbursements for storm-related property damage will be available. But passing along the information allows local officials to possibly request state and federal aid. It also provides valuable data that will help officials prepare for future storms.
