Some customers went without their scheduled trash pickup this week, but those routes will be serviced by next week, managers at Sanitary Service Company and Nooksack Valley Disposal said.
SSC trucks will come to customers who were missed as soon as drivers can make the trip, safety manager Rodd Pemble said. He asked customers to make sure their trash was secure if they left it out.
SSC missed some customers Wednesday, Jan. 18, and couldn't reach everyone in the Paradise and Maple Falls areas on Thursday, Pemble said.
Nooksack Valley general manager Calvin DenHartog said no more than 5 or 10 percent of that north-county company's customers were missed this week. Their garbage will be picked up next week on their scheduled days, he said. There will be no additional billing for extra garbage.
