POLITICS A LAUGHING MATTER

It's beginning to look a lot like the season of politics, and what better way to take the edge off than seeing a performance by the Capitol Steps. The comedy ensemble began as a group of U.S. Senate staffers who set out to satirize the people and places that employed them.

Not all of the current performers are former D.C. employees, but taken together they have worked in 18 congressional offices and represent 62 years of House and Senate staff experience.

The ensemble performs at 8 p.m. March 10 at Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N. Commercial St. For tickets, $20 to $42, call 360-734-6080 or go tomountbakertheatre.com.
