The Whatcom Community College men's basketball team upset No. 2 ranked Peninsula 74-71 on the road in an NWAACC North Division game on Wednesday, Jan. 11, for its fifth consecutive victory.
Both teams came in at 2-0 in North Division play but Peninsula entered with the No. 2 ranking in the Alaska Air/Coaches Poll.
Will Perry scored 12 points for Whatcom, but also collected a game-high 14 rebounds as the Orcas outrebounded Peninsula 55-39.
