Rave: VFW member thanks Bellingham Home Depot volunteers

Posted: 12:01am on Jan 2, 2012

As a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1585 in Bellingham, I would like to thank our local Home Depot.

We have an ancient building and it was definitely showing its age. Home Depot volunteers spent two days at our post. They made significant improvements in our meeting hall by improving the lighting and applying a new coat of paint -- after scrubbing the walls. They also upgraded the lighting in our kitchen (those flickering fluorescents were driving us crazy!).

All of the labor and supplies were donated by our local Home Depot. Their support to veterans and their families is greatly appreciated. Again, thank you, Home Depot!
