WCC MEN'S BASKETBALL: Orcas place third at tournament

The Whatcom Community College men's basketball team defeated Centralia 102-70 at the Centralia Crossover tournament on Sunday, Dec. 18.

The win gave the Orcas third place in the tournament.

Evan Coulter scored a game-high 31 points for Whatcom while Pat Voeut had 21 points and Derek Dickerson scored 20 points. The Orcas outscored Centralia 65-33 in the second half.

Coulter was named to the all-tournament team.

Whatcom also beat Grays Harbor and lost to Spokane in the tournament.

Big Bend defeated Spokane in the tournament final.
