Singer Debby Boone offers some of her holiday favorites, interspersed with selections from her original recordings and a few personal reminiscences, at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at Mount Baker Theatre, 104 N. Commercial St.
Boone earned instant fame in 1977 when "You Light Up My Life" became an overnight hit and won an Academy Award for Best Song for the film of the same name. She has made her mark in country music with the popular "Are You on the Road to Lovin' Me Again," and become a Christian music staple, winning another two Grammys and receiving seven Grammy nominations.
She also has starred on Broadway, with such roles as Milly in "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" Rizzo in "Grease," and she played Maria in Lincoln Center's 30th anniversary production of "The Sound of Music."
