A rear-end collision at 8:45 a.m. Sunday on Van Giesen Street in Richland sent a Richland driver to jail on suspicion of drunken driving and not having a current license.
Washington State Patrol said Bobbi B. Ross, 52, of Richland, was westbound on Highway 240 in a 1999 Plymouth Breeze when she failed to stop at the intersection with Van Giesen Street. The Plymouth struck the rear of a westbound 2002 Mazda Protege that was stopped for the signal light.
The Mazda driver, Angela C. Meyers, 34, of Richland, was not injured. But passenger Jessica A. Vowels, 28, of Richland was taken to Kadlec Medical Center, where she was treated for injuries and later released.
