BELLINGHAM - As the second anniversary of an unsolved homicide approaches, Bellingham detectives are looking for fresh leads.

On Friday, Nov. 18, officers will hand out fliers from 10 p.m. to midnight at the intersection of East Ivy and North Garden streets, where Bryan Marriott, 43, was found shot to death next to his car late Nov. 20, 2009.

Police also will be available to talk about the case with the public.

Road rage may have led to a confrontation between Marriott and the person who shot him, according to the Bellingham Police Department.

"The thought is that there's still somebody out there who has some information," Detective Daniel Kelsh said. "Maybe now that things have calmed down a bit, they're in a better place to talk about this."

A $6,000 reward is available for information leading to an arrest in the case.

Tips should be directed to Kelsh at 360-778-8690.
