BELLINGHAM - Bellingham college students are trying to connect with community members who live near their campuses and homes in an effort to work collectively on how both can be better neighbors.

The Campus Community Coalition, a group of students from Western Washington University, Whatcom Community College and Bellingham Technical College, is hosting an event, "Think Locally, Act Neighborly," from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the Firs Conference Center, 4605 Cable St. in the Geneva neighborhood.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is requested at campuscommunitycoalition.com.
