The Lucia Douglas Gallery, 1415 13th St., presents an exhibit of works on paper and paintings from the estate of Guy Anderson, and paintings in egg tempura by Camano Island artist Jack Gunter through Nov. 26. An opening reception is 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4.

Anderson lived and worked in La Conner from 1955 until his death in 1998. Inspired by the landscape of the Skagit Valley, he has been described as the last great master of the style he helped establish.

Gunter's career as an artist began at 28 in the rural hills of central Massachusetts, where he taught himself the technique of egg tempura painting.

He has since created over 2,000 paintings, some of which have been shown in Europe, South America and the former Soviet Union.

Gallery hours: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday. Details: 360-733-5361 or luciadouglas.com.
