Boise’s second annual Knife Show is back at Expo Idaho, 5610 N. Glenwood St. in Garden City, on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 29-30.
Thousands of knives will be featured from top makers, including Kershaw, Buck, Chris Reeve, Columbia River Knife and Tool, Benchmark and others.
Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Admission is $8, general, and free for children, 8 and younger.
Boy Scouts wearing their scout shirt get into the show for free.
Knife makers also will be putting their knives to the test in a first-ever knife performance challenge.
The show will feature a knife-sharpening clinic and also a knife-throwing demonstration and clinic.

The 17th annual Auction for the Rivers is Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Boise Train Depot, 2603 Eastover Terrace in Boise.
The event, which is a fundraiser for Idaho Rivers United and includes hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine, raffles and door prizes, goes from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Admission is $10 for Idaho Rivers United members and $15 for non-members.

Salmon fishing in Idaho will be over for the year when the fall chinook harvest season ends Monday, Oct. 31, on the Snake and Clearwater rivers.
The season opened Sept. 1 on the Snake River between Lewiston and Hells Canyon Dam and in the Lower Clearwater River downstream of the U.S. 12 Memorial Bridge in Lewiston.
As of Oct. 24, anglers had caught 15 marked adults and 19 jacks, and caught and released 51 unmarked fish in the Lower Clearwater River.
They caught and kept 151 adults and 375 jacks in the Snake River, for a total of 560 fish.
