PREP FOOTBALL: Squalicum's Weber selected Player of the Week

Squalicum sophomore running back Luke Weber was selected the High School Football Player of the Week in an online vote at TheBellinghamHerald.com.

Weber received 124 (41 percent) of the 301 votes cast by online readers to beat out Ferndale's Alex Conley, Blaine's Mario Gobbato, Bellingham's Oliver Dougherty, Nooksack Valley's Trevon Myhre and Meridian's Casey Smith.

Weber rushed for 191 yards and three touchdowns in the Storm's 38-14 victory over Sehome on Friday, Oct. 14. He now has 531 yards and six TDs so far this year.

Weber and the Storm next host Bellingham in an 8 p.m. game Friday, Oct. 21, at Civic Stadium.
