The Whatcom Community College men's soccer team earned a 3-2 victory Wednesday, Oct. 19, at home over Skagit Valley College in an NWAACC North Division matchup and improved its win streak to four games.

Noah Holowatch had two unassisted goals and Andrew Mihovilovich added another for the Orcas, who improved to 4-4-1 in league and 5-5-1 overall.

Whatcom coach Joel Grossman said his team won despite not playing all that well.

"It was a good win but to be perfectly honest we did not play our best," Grossman said in a phone interview. "I guess it was good that we won a game that we didn't play that well."

Carlos Alvarez had nine saves in goal for Whatcom, which is back in action at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, when it hosts Edmonds.
