Noted pianist Awadagin Pratt performs at WWU

Western Washington University's Sanford-Hill Piano Series begins its ninth season with a concert featuring Awadagin Pratt at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 25, at WWU's Performing Arts Center Concert Hall, featuring works by Liszt, Chopin and others.

Pratt has been featured on the "Today Show," "Good Morning America" and "Sesame Street," and has been invited to perform several times at the White House.

In conjunction with the concert, Pratt will conduct a free master class for young musicians, open to the public, from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, in the PAC Concert Hall.

Concert tickets, $9 to $24, can be reserved at 360-650-6146 and tickets.wwu.edu. A limited selection of tickets will also be available at Village Books and Community Food Co-op.
