The Whatcom Community College volleyball team lost 25-12, 25-22, 25-22 to Shoreline on Wednesday, Oct. 5, at home in a NWAACC North Division matchup.

Emily Jovanovich had 10 kills and seven digs for the Orcas and Brittney DeJager added 18 assists and 11 digs.

"The first set we were really shaky," WCC coach Jeff McDonald said in a phone interview, "and the next two we were in the lead at times and couldn't hold it."

Whatcom (9-9, 2-2) is at Edmonds at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12.
