The Ferndale boys' tennis team swept the singles matches in a 5-2 non-conference victory at Anacortes on Friday, Sept. 30.
The win improved the Golden Eagles to 3-6 while the Seahawks dropped to 0-9.
"The singles played well," Ferndale coach Rudy Vendiola said in a phone interview.
The Golden Eagles had singles wins by Tanner Hanson at No. 1, Erik Arntsen (No. 2), Johnny Kirby (No. 3) and Gagandeep Singh (No. 4).
Ferndale's No. 1 doubles team of Kyle Waldron and Trevor Koehn survived for a 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (6) victory.
"We just played the important points well in that match," Vendiola said.
