LETTER: Picks local slate for farm protection

Local elections are actually more important than state or federal. The decisions of Whatcom County Council impact the lives of all of us and the future of our children and grandchildren. We need people in office who can make decisions based on the environment, protection of farmlands and water quality, unbiased decisions for all.

I am hoping you will vote for Barbara Brenner, Christina Maginnis, Pete Kremen and Jack Louws in November. I believe all of these people are honest, trustworthy and will do what is best for Whatcom County. Barbara has been a great asset to our County Council for many years. I know her personally and she will listen and then make a decision. But she isn't in office to help only her friends. The same for Pete Kremen and Jack Louws. Christina Maginnis will be a great addition to the council. I believe her opponent, Sam Crawford, has shown bias toward developers over and over, plus he makes a living off development.

Please vote for Barbara Brenner, Christina Maginnis, Pete Kremen and Jack Louws to protect our rural Whatcom County.
