A red flag warning has been issued for the Mid-Columbia today.

Very dry and unstable conditions and low humidity could cause critical fire conditions, the National Weather Service said.

The red flag warning is in effect from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

A combination of strong winds with low humidity and warm temperatures can create explosive fire growth potential, the weather service said.
