SEHOME
MARINERS
Coach: Kristy White
Last Year: Finished fourth in the Class 2A NWC standings with a conference record of 7-6. Ended season after going 1-2 in the Class 2A Northwest District Tournament and finished 8-9 overall. Megan Johnson was an All-Whatcom County selection.
Players to watch: Megan Johnson (sr., OH); Alicia Ford (sr., OH); Katie Becker (jr., M)
Outlook: The Mariners return only two seniors, but Ford and Johnson are two explosive players who can be relied on heavy to produce for Sehome. Johnson has one of the strongest arms in the NWC. White said she feels she has a good group of talented juniors in Koko Kauhi, Katie Becker and Alex Wilkinson. "We are really going to pride ourselves on playing at 100 percent the entire match," White said in a phone interview. "We are going to focus on playing our roles and want to really improve on our passing."
