Jerry and Sharon Hayes of Mt. Vernon will celebrate their 50th Anniversary with their children, family and friends at a no gift Open House reception on Saturday, September 10th, 2011 from 2-5 pm at the Cotton Tree Inn and Convention Center in Mt. Vernon. The couple were married on September 9th, 1961 at First Presbyterian Church in Bellingham. They have enjoyed making Mt. Vernon their home for the past fifty years where Jerry retired as a warehouseman from the Con-Tel Telephone Co. and Sharon was the owner of Valborg's gift store. Jerry and Sharon have two sons and their families, Brian, Kim, Nick and Tyson Hayes of Mt. Vernon and Brad, Dina, Alex and Conner Hayes of Mill Creek.
