Steve and Denise Bruce of Bellingham announce the engagement of their daughter, Vanessa Bruce, to Lee Waldrep, son of Marvin and Sharon Waldrep of Smyrna, GA. Vanessa is a graduate of Bellingham High School and Pacific Lutheran University. She recently completed a dual Masters program for Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. Lee is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and The George Washington University. He works for Homeland Security in Washington, DC. The two met while studying abroad in Paris, France. The proposal took place at Mt. Baker ski area. The couple will tie the knot on September 10, 2011.
