LYNDEN - Dozens of drivers rolled out their dinged-up cars and trucks to the Monday, Aug. 15, evening rounds of the Northwest Washington Fair's demolition derby.

The cars, many of them already crippled from earlier heats, played an aggressive game of cat-and-mouse to see who could outlast the rest.

Here are the victors of each division:

Large cars

First place: Randy Makowsky

Second place: Monty Lagerwey

Third place: Nick Delange

Small cars

First place: Mike Theobald

Second place: Isidro Hernandez

Third place: Darren Chorney

Trucks

First place: Steve Cannon

Second place: Sean Peters

Third place: Cameron Flavin.
