Pierce County crews will intermittently close Canyon Road East and two of its main intersections through the weekend.

The closures are so workers can continue widening the roadway.

Military Road East will close from 4:30 p.m. Saturday to 4:30 a.m. Sunday. Brookdale Road East will be closed from 8 tonight to 6:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be limited turning available until 9 p.m. Sunday.

Canyon Road East at Military Road East and at Brookdale Road East will be reduced to one lane in each direction during the cross street closures.

Also closed will be 160th Street East, which will be shut from 4:30 a.m.-9 p.m. Sunday.
