Four Whatcom County students were named to the spring-semester Dean's List at Linfield College, in McMinnville, Ore.:

Bellingham: Halee Hyatt, Alexandria Smith and Elizabeth Wilcox.

Ferndale: Nora Burnfield.

• U.S. Air Force Airman Devin Fetter graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of James Fetter of Bellingham and Wendy Windrich of Texas.

• Colin Thalhofer, son of Kerry and Terry Thalhofer of Acme, received his doctorate in immunology from the University of Iowa. He is a 1996 graduate of Mount Baker High School and a 2000 graduate of Gonzaga University.
