Samuel Mann, 18, is a valedictorian at Windward High School (Ferndale High School). His parents are Lori Bernstein and John Mann. He plans to attend the University of Washington to study pre-med. The small-school environment of Windward was excellent for me because I was not distracted by big crowds or bullying or anything else that I can sense at Ferndale HS. This year at FHS, I’ve felt very on edge with all the people. At Windward, I always felt comfortable in my school. That is what has worked great for me.
