A pair of local business start-up experts will be traveling to Russia to present a business course to students.

John Sands, a business management instructor at Western Washington University and David Woods, Bellingham SCORE chapter counselor, will travel to Nakhodka, Russia (Bellingham's sister city) on Sunday, May 16 before returning later this month. The course will cover business functions, organization and financial requirements to start and manage a small business.

The trip will include scheduled meetings in Vladivostok with The Far East Center of Economic Education, Model United Nations of the Russian Far East and Consul General, U.S. Consulate.

The Foundation for Russian American Cooperation (FRAEC) and USAID are sponsoring the program.
