Bellingham Sunrise Rotary Club's Oysterfest - a night of food and fun - will raise money to benefit Hospice House.

The 19th annual Oysterfest, set for Saturday night, Feb. 6, at Bellingham Golf and Country Club, 3729 Meridian St., will benefit Hospice House, a facility now under construction on Douglas Avenue. Working with St. Joseph Hospital, the Whatcom Hospice Foundation provides end-of-life care that helps patients live the final days of their lives with dignity, purpose and peace.

Additional funds raised will help local Rotary projects.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with a social hour featuring wine, beer and raw shucked oysters and concludes after dinner with an auction that will include items such as a Jake Locker/Huskies package, a Seattle Mariners/overnight stay, a Dirty Dan's Restaurant/Chrysalis Inn & Spa Fairhaven package and more. In addition, a unique pearl necklace will be raffled off.

Tickets are $100 and are available from Sunrise Rotary member Rob Camandona at 752-8210 or rcamandona@bannerbank.com.
