Two waters forming a long coulee type sliver lake are included in this complex. The Greens are uniquely managed for combination summer-winter fisheries, which involve catch and release in the summer and a clearance fishery through the winter.
Angler notes: Trout in both Greens are running 11-12 inches.
Open water: 54 total acres (45 and 9 acres).
Seasons: Year-round (April 1 to Nov. 30 under catch and release selective fishery rules; Dec. 1 to March 31 with kill fishery with any legal gear).
Angling quarry here: Rainbow trout
Stocking for 2008: Big Green (12,076 fingerling rainbows) and Little Green (3,000 fingerling rainbows).
Special rules: For both lakes, spring/summer catch and release and selective gear rules. Fall/winter, statewide size and bag limits apply.
Boat launches: Big Green has a WDFW launch and Little Green is a carry-in with steep paths.
Getting there: Take Highway 20 to the Okanogan, cross the river and drive north on Conconully Road. Turn left on Green Lake Road just after crossing Johnson Creek.
