One of several Sinlahekin Valley lakes to get an unusual hybrid trout that is a cross between brown trout and eastern brook trout. The skin-pattern is faint but noticeable enough to earn the nickname tiger. They have a temperament to match.

Angler notes: Shallow and gets weedy later in summer, but fish the edges.

Open water: 24 acres.

Season: Last Saturday in April to October 31.

Angling quarry here: Tiger trout.

Stocking for 2008: 1,000 tiger trout fry.

Special rules: Season only, otherwise statewide size and bag limits apply.

Boat launches: WDFW gravel launch at north end.

Getting there: Take Highway 20 to the Okanogan River valley. Drive north from Omak past Riverside and turn left on Pine Creek Road. Drive west to Fish Lake and head north on Sinlahekin Road about seven miles.
