OVERVIEW

This lightly populated neighborhood is home to what is arguably the best park in Bellingham. Whatcom Falls Park occupies the northern third of the neighborhood, with trails, swimming, play areas and a state trout hatchery.

Most residents live on the south side of Lakeway Drive, opposite the park. Birch Street provides access to the many mountain-bike trails on Galbraith Mountain, while Bayview Cemetery covers more than 200 acres by the west boundary of the park.

QUOTE

“There’s convenience in this neighborhood — the proximity to Whatcom Falls Park, work, the downtown area, and to the Barkley district. There’s a strong neighborhood commitment to support the environment, too.”
