OVERVIEW
Puget neighborhood is split east-west by Lakeway Drive, with an array of businesses and sports facilities to complement the areas houses and apartments.
Busy Lakeway offers access to Carl Cozier Elementary School and to grocery and department stores, restaurants, offices and specialty shops.
Civic Athletic Complex borders Lakeway, providing fields and facilities for baseball, skateboarding, swimming, ice skating, track, soccer and football.
Neighborhood housing ranges from a mobile home complex on Lincoln Street, to apartment complexes, to view homes high on Puget hill.
HISTORY
Bellinghams municipal pool opened on Aug. 12, 1995. Hundreds of people enjoyed free swimming after the mornings ceremonies, which included City Councilman Arne Hannas inaugural plunge down the water slide in a black tuxedo jacket, white shirt and tie, and black shorts.
The pool was later named the Arne Hanna Aquatic Center after the likable civic leader died.

Carl Cozier Elementary, Lowell Elementary, Kulshan Middle, Fairhaven Middle, Bellingham High, Sehome High.
In fall 2008, students will attend Carl Cozier Elementary or Happy Valley Elementary, but not Lowell.
