William F. (Bill) Barrett, beloved son of Frank and Alice (Weyand) Barrett (both deceased) was born December 5, 1949, in Ashtabula, Ohio and passed away peacefully at St. Joseph Hospital in Bellingham on March 25, 2007. He will be remembered fondly by his family; his sister, Joyce Gudaitis, his nephews, Tom (Bonnie) and Mike, his niece, Katie (Kimiyoshi), his 3 grandnephews and his grandnieces, Reilley, Canyon, Lucky, and Jazmyn. Bill moved to Bellingham with his dad in 1984 and lived at Lincoln Square before becoming part of the M.O.R.E. program. He worked at Northwest Industries and enjoyed many activities in the community including SPIN dances, bowling and Special Olympics. When his health deteriorated in 2001 he moved to Sagewood and later Heartwood Adult Family Homes in Lynden, where he lived until 3 days before his death. Bill's family thanks all the people who took such excellent care of him over the years, especially Jill and Scott Peck at MORE 2, the families and friends of MORE 1 and the staffs of Sagewood and Heartwood who were there at the end for Bill and his family. A Memorial Mass will be held at The Church of the Assumption, 2116 Cornwall Ave. in Bellingham on Monday, April 2, 2007 at 10:30 AM followed by a gathering of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice (especially one that helps people with special needs) would be very much appreciated. Arrangements under the care of
