Neil Q. Good died peacefully at home in Bellingham, WA, on March 21, 2007, surrounded by his loving family and best friend Nick. He was born in Freeport, IL, on November 16, 1939.

Neil's kind and caring nature led to his long commitment with the fire service. Following 8 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, Neil continued his career as a firefighter, fire chief, and fire services administrator.

Neil is survived by his wife Nancy and family of Bellingham; daughter Brigitte and family of Arizona; father Jake Sr. of Lacey, WA; brother Jake Jr. and wife Julia of OR; and sister Jeanne and husband Zan of Texas. He was preceded in death by two brothers and his mother Dorothy.

A private family church service was held Sunday, March 25th, in Lacey, WA.

In honor of Neil, family, fellow firefighters, and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life on Sunday, April 15th, from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM, at Whatcom County Fire District 4 Headquarters station, 4142 Britton Loop Rd., Bellingham.
