Brian Patrick Canaan passed away in Blaine on Thursday, Nov. 16, at the age of 24. Graveside services will be at Noon on Tuesday, Nov. 28, in Saxon Cemetery followed by memorial funeral services at Grace Baptist Fellowship, 338 North Park St., Lynden, with Pastor Delaine Bailey officiating.

Brian was the son of William and Kristie (Hulsebus) Canaan and was born in Bellingham on October 29, 1982. Brian lived primarily in Whatcom County but also for a time with his family in Anacortes. He is loved by his family and will always be remembered for his thoughtful and caring personality. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Kris Canaan; brothers Benjamin (Holly) and Stephen Canaan, all of Blaine; maternal grand-mother Jean Hulsebus of Bellingham and paternal grandparents, Bill and Pat Canaan of Lynden and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Galen Hulsebus and cousin Anna Grace Hulsebus. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
