closeThe families of Devra Batdorf and Sebastian Chambers announce their engagement and plans to be married Jan. 3, 2009 at Semiahmoo's Loomis Trail Mansion.
Devra, daughter of Rick and Cindy Batdorf, is a graduate of Sehome High School, the Univ. of Washington, and is employed by MDS Pharma Services in Bothell as a research surgeon involved with orthopedic pharmaceutical and medical device testing.
Sebastian, son of Scott and Leslie Chambers, spent his childhood in Sitka, AK, graduated from high school in Winthrop, WA, and attended the Seattle Art Institute. He is employed by Loma Products of Monroe.
The couple met through mutual college friends. The Christmas proposal took place six years later, during an icy daytrip on the Nooksack River.
