There is one candidate in this year's race for governor that has personally promised to have the state help fund the restoration and cleanup of the Bellingham waterfront - Dino Rossi. As a businessman, Rossi understands the value of creating thriving, profitable segments of our communities to attract well-paying jobs and the diverse populations that make our communities vital.

The Bellingham waterfront is, perhaps, the best opportunity we as citizens may ever have to create and build what is sure to become the crown jewel of our region. Rossi understands we are on the edge of creating an area that not only will support the expansion of our local university, but also build on that expansion through, hopefully, the relocation of the NOAA fleet, creation of the "Terraquarium," and fostering the many recreational portals that will take advantage of our new shoreline.

Better yet, Dino Rossi has committed to help us get this project moving forward.

As if there were not enough reasons for vote for Dino Rossi, now we know that a vote for Dino Rossi is a vote for our very own waterfront.
