Since governments were created, I believe mankind has been caught in a constant cycle leading to slavery. History has shown that freedom will bring prosperity, prosperity will lead to dependency and dependency soon becomes slavery.

Ignorance and socialism are the fuels that keep this cycle going.

One can find hundreds of examples of liberal, big governments causing tyranny. Yet, there's not one example of a limited, small government causing oppression and genocide.

Our founding fathers recognized this truth and gave us the Constitution. Unfortunately, I believe our current form of government resembles the communist manifesto more than the Constitution.

Yet somehow there are those who believe that to be conservative is to embrace Nazism. However, history reveals that Hitler himself was a socialist. In fact, even the term Nazi means national socialism.

With this year's election giving us to two presidential candidates that embrace socialism, Americans really have no choice. If we do not wake up soon, then we deserve slavery.

For as Benjamin Franklin once said, "Only a virtuous people are capable of freedom. As nations be-come corrupt and vicious, they have more need of masters."
