closeDouglas Shepherd has my highest recommendation for the position of Superior Court Judge.
I met Shepherd more than seven years ago. From the moment I met him, he has proven to show the utmost respect to everyone, regardless of their place in life. I have watched him in the courtroom, his office, our church, and in this community. There is no one I've met that cares more about justice, fairness and doing the right thing.
Shepherd works endlessly, and gives himself to our community without expectation for recognition. As a person who knows him well, I understand what he is giving up to run for judge and hope the citizens of Whatcom County acknowledge what a gift they have received to have him run for judge.
Shepherd is not running to increase his paycheck or gain recognition; he is running because he knows that Whatcom County citizens deserve better than they currently have.
I can assure you that he would not run unless something were wrong, and I urge you to join me in voting for him in this August primary.
No one will work harder to see that justice is done, and that the trust in our courts is upheld.
