As a court commissioner and previously as a practicing attorney, I have had many opportunities to spend time with and get to know Judge Charles "Chuck" Snyder.

He is a key and valuable participant at judicial conferences and is highly regarded by his judicial peers throughout the state. He has been very active with the Superior Court Judges Association chairing the Family and Juvenile Law committee and co-chairing the Legislative committee.

I have always been impressed with his careful consideration of the matters before him, his dedication to issuing fair and legally supported decisions, and his calm judicial temperament.

Anyone who knows Snyder knows that he devotes hours upon hours of time beyond the usual court days towards the advancement of justice and the administration of programs he supervises or has initiated here in Whatcom County.

I believe Snyder's years of valuable experience, excellent work and commendable service should be recognized and taken into consideration in this contested election. I urge members of this community to vote to re-elect Snyder in the primary on Aug. 19.
