I write in support of incumbent Judge Chuck Snyder.
A long-time resident, I know Snyder and many other lawyers and judges here in Bellingham, although I have never appeared before him. I cannot think of anyone more fit to serve as Superior Court judge either in education or experience than Snyder. More important, no aspirant to this office equals his outstanding courtroom demeanor and strict, high ethical qualities, nor his involvement in the justice system as an innovator and tireless worker, whether paid or volunteering.
Snyder combines fairness, courtesy, and integrity to serve in exemplary fashion, treating justly those who come before him.
His peers support him, for they know his skills. He is exactly the kind of guy we need on the bench: Calm, caring but unprejudiced, fair but firm in the law, working to hold his court to the highest standards. His peers made him the Superior Court presiding judge and he is an assistant dean of the Washington State Judicial College training other judges. He is honored by his colleagues.
Re-elect Chuck Snyder to office. There is no one nearly as perfectly suited for the job.
Joseph Coons
