closeTo elaborate on a letter concerning oil production in the U.S., it is my belief the oil-producing countries, primarily Iran, Russia and Venezuela, will have us on our knees in short order without firing a shot.
Both our Democratic and Republican “leaders” have not the intestinal fortitude or wisdom to make a positive stand on what should be done concerning our energy crisis.
We need to immediately permit oil drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and all potential off-shore sites.
Doing this would pull the support from oil speculators, soon resulting in reduced gasoline prices.
We need to streamline the permitting process for the construction of nuclear power plants.
It is complete idiocy to continue burning hydrocarbons to supply our burgeoning electrical requirements.
I hope our legislators in D.C. and whoever is successful in seeking the presidency realize this and put the above two action items on the immediate must do list.
