In his op-ed article in the May 4 New York Times, Thomas Friedman asks “Who will tell the people? We are not who we think we are. We are living on borrowed time and borrowed dimes. We still have all the potential for greatness, but only if we get back to work on our country.”

Already, rather than pander for votes, Barack Obama is telling the American people that a gas tax holiday might individually save a few dollars but it is not the answer.

To me this election is our chance for a change in our priorities and the way our government works. It is not about Obama, it is about us and that is why it is so personal. The Clintons are using every divisive tactic they can muster to gain back the power they seek. Obama wants to speak the truth and lead our country to a new era of rebuilding our dreams and our children’s future.

This is not just an election, it is a movement and if we fail, our country will have lost an opportunity to enlist millions who are ready and willing to make the sacrifices needed to change our country and the world for the better.
