Bellingham's Rick Weihe shot a 71-73-74-218 to take fourth place in the WSGA Senior Men's Amateur Championship on Sept. 30 to Oct. 2 at Oakbrook Golf and Country Club in Lakewood.

Bellingham's Fred Urquhart tied for ninth with a 70-74-78-222; Bill Hager from Bellingham had a 75-78-76-229 for a tie at 26th and Jon Rawitzer of Bellingham finished in a tie for 44th with an 83-79-84-246.

RAWITZER, MONTGOMERY FINISH FOURTH

Squalicum senior amateur Matt Rawitzer and professional partner Mike Montgomery shot a 65-68-133 to tie for fourth place in the Peak Vision Pro-Amateur Championship at Chambers Bay Golf Course in University Place.

Professional Tom Sovay and amateur Derek Berg fired 66-64-130 to win the event.

BAJEMA WINS JUDO TITLE

Ralph Bajema won the 70-74 years old, 73 kg masters division at the U.S. Open Judo Championships.

Bajema's opponent, a fourth degree black belt to Bajema's second degree black belt, quit the title bout after Bajema scored a full point about 40 seconds into the match.
