The Nooksack Valley girls' soccer team couldn't recover from a first-half goal as the Pioneers fell to Friday Harbor 2-0 on Saturday, Oct. 4.

Whitney Porter scored for the Wolverines right before the half and Nooksack Valley scored an own goal in the 7oth minute.

"It was a close match," Pioneers coach David Ostlund said. "Giving up a goal right before the half hurt us momentum-wise."

Abi Mondragon finished with 11 saves in goal for Nooksack Valley.
