Work to close roads Tuesday near Lake Whatcom

Drivers who use Lake Whatcom Boulevard and Lake Louise Road might need to take alternative routes Tuesday, July 7, as portions of the roads will be closed for construction.

Lake Whatcom Boulevard will be closed for striping from Cable Street to Lake Louise Road from 9 to 11 a.m., and Lake Louise Road will be closed for striping from Lake Whatcom Boulevard to Cable from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Detour routes will be in place, according to Whatcom County Public Works. In the event of rain, the work will be rescheduled to Wednesday, July 8, or Thursday, July 9.
