BURLINGTON - On- and off-ramp closures this week will make for a longer commute at the Interstate 5/Highway 20 interchange.
Work crews will close the southbound I-5 ramps from 10 p.m. Monday, July 6, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, July 7. Northbound on- and off-ramps will be closed from 10 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday, July 8.
As workers finish striping the ramps and installing curbs, drivers will be detoured to the Chuckanut Drive or George Hopper Road ramps, said the state Department of Transportation.
The work is part of a $118 million state project to widen five miles of Highway 20 to four lanes.
