WWU offers teen summer programs

BELLINGHAM - Western Washington University is offering its Summer Programs for Youth to middle- and high-school students.

Programs for middle-schoolers will run July 6-10 and July 13-17, and include such options as critter and creature science, guitar, chemistry and physics, and environmental study. High-school programs will run July 20-24 and include veterinary science, computer science, filmmaking and photography.

The College Quest program allows high-school students to get a taste of university life, including a stay in the dorms and meals in the dining halls. Students can earn a credit in criminal law, computer science, or environmental studies and filmmaking. The program starts July 13 and can last five or seven days.
